New Jersey: Christie proposes $540M Medicaid cut

What an uneven treatment of the citizenry! I would rather remain in obscurity forever than achieve notoriety in this manner. This is morally, philosophically, economically, and socially wrong.

Morals: I refer to Christian morality as predicated by Jesus Christ: He cured the sick, threw the merchants out of a temple, multiplied the fish to distribute freely, etc.

Philosophy: How can a candidate call himself “pro-life” and then eliminate the means to sustain that life after birth? There is a terminal contradiction here.

Economy: Deprived of health coverage, people affected will make more use of emergency rooms, which are, by far, more costly. We also lose some federal matching funds.

Society: The move exacerbates the social divide, will lead to more crime, possibly social unrest.
