New Jersey unemployment climbs to 9.4

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development reports that 700 jobs were lost in the private sector but 300 regained in the public sector and that made unemployment climb from 9.3 to 9.4%.

I presume the 0.1% also includes youngsters entering the work force for the first time. The percentage change is too large when compared to the number of jobs lost (400)

Otherwise it would imply that New Jersey’s total work force is just 400,000 people.
