Corporations at the table, writing state laws (for a fee)

This is happening in several states and I presume it is a matter of time before they join our elected officials in New Jersey – we will undoubtedly call it the government-business partnership.

The corporations named are Koch Industries, Exxon-Mobil, others.

I am pro-business. We need businesses in New Jersey. I would like to have 0% corporate tax in New Jersey to attract companies to our state. But as much I as believe in the separation of church and state, I also believe in the independence of government from corporations. Government officials are elected by the people; not by the corporate boards.
