Is this form of education effective? Or is the “old basics” the correct path?

How much hard work can be replaced with technology? Learning is an arduous process. Can a technology-saturated classroom compete with the chalk and blackboard, longer periods, days, and school years? Furthermore, is it cost-effective?

My tentative answer to all questions above is no. But I will admit so if I am wrong.
