Acting NJ Ed. Commissioner Cerf to Teachers in AC: We Love You

Acting NJ ed commissioner tells teachers: ‘We’re supportive of unions…We’re not blaming teachers’ –

The Christie regime is putting the best face it can to the stark fact that voters do not resonate too well to anti-labor militancy.

With that said, education advancement rests on two pillars: Teaching more and teaching faster; students must know more when they finish high school.

Ending tenure and introducing merit pay, as the Christie administration proposes, are not conducive to enhance the cohesion and team-spirit of teaching staffs in New Jersey.

Furthermore, ending tenure will lead to more political patronage and nepotism in education.
