Senate Passes Defense Bill With Detention Policy Compromise

Senate passes defense bill with detainee policy compromise – CNN.com.

The Senate ultimately reached an agreement to amend the bill to make clear it’s not the bill’s intent to allow for the indefinite detention of U.S. citizens and others legally residing in the country.

Compromise: Absolutely no indefinite detention allowed: Up to 99 years only (this is my sarcasm – the compromise is still to be seen)

Levin, McCain, Graham, and all those that support this draconian detention policy have just stabbed Liberty in the back.

They are using Al Qaeda to fulfill domestic ambitions.

The vote was 93 to 7.
